Alfred Wayne Woods

Alfred Wayne Woods, 74, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, August 12, 2018 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born to the late Walter and Jean Woods in Newport on December 17, 1943.

Wayne has resided in Jonesboro over fifty years after coming from Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was a founding member of the Jonesboro Association Motorcycle Club. Wayne served our country in the United States Navy, loved firearms, and served as a paramedic and fireman.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Woods; son, Chris McBroome, brother, Ricky Woods; and sister, Barbara Gayle.

Wayne is survived by his two sons, Clay Woods and Jason woods both of Jonesboro; one daughter, Michelle Woods of Memphis; one grandson, Kyle Mcbroome of Jonesboro; and host of several friends.

A visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
