Alfred Mccullar

Alfred L. McCullar, age 83, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday at his home. A native of Poplar Grove, AR, he had moved to Jonesboro 10 years ago from Trumann. He was a retired lineman of a telephone company.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Jonesboro, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II , and was wounded in the Philippine Islands.

Alfred was preceded in death by one son Alfred McCullar, Jr.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Coffeeville Cemetery near Newport.

Active pallbearers are Jeremy Drennon, Carl Cook, Jim Diamond, Joe Richardson, Robert Adkins, Harry Hardwick, Hubert Brodel, and Randy Lawrence.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
