Alexander "Alex" Alvarado

Alexander “Alex” Alvarado, 3, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. He was born January 31, 2017 in Paragould. Alex was a very special little boy. He loved to play with his big brother Breyson. Alex loved “Ms. Roxana” his teacher. He always had a smile and liked to laugh and sing; run races with his brother, and swing on his swing set. Alex and Breyson liked to make regular ice cream runs with their Granny.

He is survived by his parents, Kelsey and Alfredo Alvarado both of Jonesboro; brother, Breyson Alvarado of Jonesboro; grandparents, Randy Lewellyn of Jonesboro, Starla Rodriguez of Trumann, Marie Lopez of Mexico, Fabian Perez of Mexico; great grandparents, Donald and Marsha Lewellyn of Jonesboro, Keith and Peggy Lloyd of Grubbs and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 10:00 am in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Spencer Furby and Bro. Mitch Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being Michael Lewellyn, Quake Lewellyn, Mitch Hovis, Charles Lewellyn, Colby Lloyd, Terry Smith and Randy Simpkins. Honorary pallbearers will be the First Presbyterian Pre-school teachers and staff.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am prior to the service.

The latest Arkansas Health Department Directives for large gatherings in the state allows Emerson Funeral Home Chapel to accommodate a maximum of 150 persons simultaneously. Face coverings must be worn to enter the building and social distancing will be in effect.
