Lillian Alene Krigbaum, 90, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the Randolph County Nursing Center where she had resided for two months.
Born in Peach Orchard the youngest of 13 children, Alene was a graduate of Draughons Business College in Memphis and lived in Memphis and Hot Springs before moving to Jonesboro in 1962. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church.
Alene loved to cook and care for her family and enjoyed camping and travelling throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Krigbaum; her parents: Francis Marion (F.M.) and Susan Frances (Fannie) Pearce Clark; and 6 sisters and 6 brothers.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Lynn and Susan Krigbaum of Cordova, Tennessee;
two daughters: Lisa Thomas of Jonesboro and Lauren Krigbaum of Little Rock;
five grandchildren: Amy Hedger (Chris), Stephanie Painter (Philip), Julie Brun (Jeff), John Thomas and Joe Thomas; and
seven great grandchildren: Nat Hedger, Megan Hedger, Cameron Hedger, Dylan Painter, Cody Painter, Abby Painter and Caroline Brun.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Mike Martin officiating.
Pallbearers include Chris Hedger, Jeff Brun, Philip Painter, John Thomas, Joe Thomas and Nat Hedger.
