Albert Pizzutiello Jr.

February 7, 1959 — July 22, 2025

On July 22, 2025, we lost a wonderful man—a brother, a father, and a grandfather. He left this Earth far too soon. He had been excited and was preparing for his trip to the Arkansas AA convention in Hot Springs.

Thank God we spoke for three hours the night before his passing. Strangely enough, we spent that time reminiscing about our favorite beaches along the New Jersey coast from our childhood—Sea Bright, Fort Hancock, and the U.S.O. beach. We loved swimming and had taken professional swimming lessons because our mother wanted to make sure we were strong swimmers. We spent countless hours on the boardwalks of Asbury Park, Long Branch, and Seaside Heights. Albert especially loved the spinning wheels, where he would often win cases of candy. Daddy gave us each a roll of nickels—$2 worth—in addition to our weekly allowance, which made those times even more special.

Albert was a go-getter from a young age. He repaired discarded lawnmowers to cut grass and later sold them. In winter, he shoveled snow, and in summer, he sold bushels of blue crabs he caught himself. As an adult, he learned to paint houses inside and out, repaired cars and trucks, built fences, and tackled countless other tasks—all of which he did meticulously.

He was incredibly proud of his son, Silas. There wasn’t a single conversation where he didn’t mention Silas’s intelligence and how well he was doing in his field. He absolutely adored him. He was also elated when his grandson was born and loved visiting him whenever he could.

We are heartbroken and mourn his loss every day. Our lives will never be the same without him.
