Alan Rudolph Darby

Alan Rudolph Darby, 67, of Jonesboro, died on Monday, April 24, 2023. He had lived in Jonesboro since 1970, moving here from Nebraska. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 29, 1955, to Harry and Bettie Darby. If it had anything to do with aeronautics or nautical endeavors, he enjoyed learning about it. Alan was a giving person and loved to cook, especially for his dad. He had a genuine love for his family and all animals. His job at Walmart was meaningful and gave him purpose. He was very devoted to his faith and was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great niece, Blakely Thomas; and his cat, Topper.

Survivors include his brother, Lyle Darby of Jonesboro; sisters, Elizabeth White and husband Ken of Folsom, California; Allyce Thomas and husband Doug of Jonesboro; and his cat Patches.
