Agnes Mae Davis

February 14, 1935 — July 10, 2022

Agnes Mae Davis, 87, of Newport, died Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Ridgecrest Health and Rehab.  She had lived in Newport for over 40 years.  She was born on February 14, 1935 to Bryan and Emagean Langston at Lepanto. Agnes attended the Assembly of God Church.  She enjoyed antiques, she was a dealer, buyer and trader.  She knew the trade well. Her vocation was as a cosmetologist.  Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed hosting family events around the swimming pool and cookouts.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gene Davis, her parents, one sister and three brothers.

Survivors include her son, Teddy Davis; brothers, David Langston of Walnut Ridge; Bill Langston of Jonesboro; Jimmy Langston of Bono; Douglas Langston, Johnny Langston and Phillip Langston all of Jonesboro; and Terry Langston of Bono; sisters, Faye Brown of Harrisburg; Betty Garner of Walnut Ridge; Dorothy Smith of Trumann and JoAnn Richmond of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Sulphur Rock Cemetery in Sulphur Rock with Joshua Niswonger and Todd Halverson officiating.  Pallbearers are Jonathan Richmond, Bryan Richmond, Joseph Richmond, Jeremy Langston, Scott Langston, Mark Hunt and Shannon Richmond.  Visitation will be Wednesday night from 5:30 – 7:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
