Adam Godwin

Adam Joseph Godwin, 31, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, July 10, 2017. He was born on August 25, 1985 in Jonesboro to Randall and Candy (Raby) Godwin. Adam struggled his whole life with health issues but is struggling no more in Heaven! He graduated from Valley View High School in 2004 and went on to attend Williams Baptist College and Arkansas State University. Adam is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Genoa Raby and Sudie Conrad Raby.

As a child he attended Central Baptist Church, he was a Christian and became a member of Temple Baptist Church. Adam was very involved in the youth group and went on several state side mission trips. As part of the college group he attended yearly conferences, Passion-with well know Christian Speakers and music artists. He loved going on these trips and being with his friends before his health deteriorated.

Adam enjoyed and collected action figures all his life. He liked watching reality TV shows that featured Big Foot or the search for Big Foot! Adam looked forward to watching Wrestling on TV and watching live matches. He had plans in August to watch WWE: Live with his brother, Matt, for his birthday.

Adam leaves behind his parents, Randall and Candy Godwin; one brother, Matthew Godwin (Whitney), who was his best friend; paternal grandmother, Patsy Godwin. He also grew up closely with cousins, Morgan and Reagan, whom he loved as sisters (irritated them as sisters too!)

The visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Martin and Bro. Andy Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery near Harrisburg with the pallbearers being Aaron Easter, Austyn Easter, Jadyn Easter, Daniel Raby, Mikel Wewers, and Derek Foyt.
