Aaron "Aj" Glen Jackson

Aaron “AJ” Glen Jackson, 41, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, August 8, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1975 in Jonesboro to Larry and Gay Jackson. Aaron was a member of Community Fellowship Church. He attended Jonesboro Public Schools, graduating in 1993. Aaron later attended Arkansas State University earning his Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed at PCS On Call. Aaron enjoyed reading, debating, music, science fiction movies and the Razorbacks. He was a yellow dog democrat. Aaron never met a stranger and was a true friend to all.

Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bert Jackson and Mildred King; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Joy Watson and Aunt Carolyn Sasser.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his fiancé, Lydia Gillion of Jonesboro, 2 brothers, David (Ramona) Rice of Birmingham, Alabama, Zac Jackson of Jonesboro; Uncle, Glen (Syble) Jackson of Sherwood; Aunt, Celia (Charles) Lamb of Eldorado; nephew, Watson Rice; niece Marlena Rice, both of Birmingham and several cousins and friends.

At Aaron’s request he would like for people dress casual for the visitation and funeral.

Funeral service will be Friday, August, 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tommy Snyder and Brother Alan Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being Jordon Kennedy, Joshua Dye, LD George, Gabriel Snyder, Cain Ragsdale and Caelan Ragsdale. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Bost and Ronnie Ragsdale.

Visitation will be Thursday, August, 11, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
